Why You Should Celebrate The Holidays at Universal Orlando
Christmas is Florida is a bit different that a traditional white Christmas. We don’t freeze, we don’t need layers of coats, mittens, and gloves (well, unless it gets below 50 degrees 😉 ), we don’t make snow angels, and we aren’t huddled inside by a warm fire because it’s too chilly to go outside.
If you are in Florida for the Christmas Season you can:
Catch the Macy’s Holiday Parade – without freezing – This year’s Macy’s Holiday Parade features two all-new balloons exclusive to Universal Orlando; Tom Turkey Balloonicle, a towering balloon and self-powered hybrid vehicle and Holiday Lights Balloon, a string of dazzling Holiday light balloons that dance through the air with ease.
Get up close and personal with the Grinch
See thousands and thousands of Christmas lights
Walk into the Wizarding World of Harry Potter
Ride the River of Adventure and get up close and personal with a Raptor in Jurassic Park
Watch LIVE music – Get into the holiday spirit with Mannheim Steamroller at the Music Plaza Stage in Universal Studios Florida on December 12, 13, 19 and 20.
Say HI to the Minions
Ride roller coaster after roller coaster
And so much more
Where can you do all these amazing things? At Universal Orlando! Universal Orlando really knows how to make Christmas in Florida is an amazing experience!
All holiday festivities are included with theme park admission or with an Annual Pass to Universal Studios Florida and Universal’s Islands of Adventure. Need tickets? Hero tickets (DISCOUNTED TICKETS!) are available for us Florida Residents through December 14th. Learn more about Universal Orlando HERO tickets here. Not a Florida Resident? The celebration continues at Universal Orlando’s four on-site hotels, where you and your family can relish in the spirit of the season with holiday buffets and dining events, tree-lighting ceremonies, special music performances, Hanukkah candle lightings, visits from Santa Claus, holiday poolside “dive-in” movies and family-friendly New Year’s Eve celebrations.

Looking for more fun things to do in Florida?
I love seeing the parks all decorated for Christmas, and I love the Macy’s parade. My sister-in-law works at Universal and for extra hours employees can work the parade, so I keep telling her she needs to get me in the parade (but actually you don’t need to know someone, they pick guests from the park every day). Make sure you get some of the special holidays treats (like hot cocoa even though it is 80 degrees out) if you go so it feels a little more like the holidays.
I still haven’t made it to Universal, but that looks super fun! It is on my bucket list though. Visiting from #tbb Friday sharefest 🙂
