Beet Carrot Strawberry Smoothie with Greens

I promised you guys another Beet Recipe and here it is! I’m not daring enough to add in a whole beet or anything yet, but I am proud to say that I officially have more veggies in this smoothie than fruit 🙂 Carrots are an easy vegetable, if you are just starting out with using your blender to make your own smoothies – I strongly recommend them – they add little taste but lots of vitamins!

I have also added carrots, strawberries, carrots, coconut water, and greens in this smoothie recipe. Greens are another easy addition to any smoothie- again, lots of vitamins and little taste. I would have never imagined that I would be drinking a salad for breakfast a few months ago…and now I crave it.  Who would have thought?!

Here are some of the health benefits of the ingredients in this smoothie recipe:

Beets – They are very high in vitamin C, fiber, potassium, and they also contain vitamin B.

Carrots – The orange powerfood will give you vitamin A and is also linked to preventing cancer, giving you healthier looking skin and aids in digestion.

Strawberries – These red beauties are loaded with vitamins, fiber, and potassium.  As an added benefit – they are fat-free 🙂

  2. I LOVE beets and this juice recipe looks delicious!

My aide in my classroom has been taking all of the apples, pears, bananas and oranges that my students aren’t eating, and she is making juice that they are drinking!

I love the fact that this recipe includes greens in it. Extra vitamins are a great thing.

  3. This looks marvelous! I might add a few more strawberries or some blueberries, I’ve got a sweet tooth with my smoothies! Love me some beets though!

  4. I have to say, I’m a little leery of this recipe just because I’m not a big fan of beets, but I’m always willing to try healthy recipes, so I may give it a whirl!
