Avocado Banana Carrot Smoothie
Yes, there it is again. The words Avocado and Smoothie together. I have to admit, the idea of avocados in my smoothies is really growing on me. They really make your smoothie creamy and they give us that dose of “good for you fat” in one easy serving.
In this smoothie recipe, I added baby carrots, 1/2 avocado, 1/2 banana, ice cubes and coconut water to my Ninja Auto iQ. Easy, refreshing and delicious.
Here are some of the health benefits to the ingredients I selected for this smoothie recipe:
Avocados – Besides being loaded with the “good fat”, they help heart health, lower cholesterol and lower triglycerides. Plus, they make your smoothie extra creamy ๐
Bananas – Besides tasting great, they are loaded with potassium which helps muscles recover and relax, and they have also been known to help you sleep better.
Carrots – The orange powerfood will give you vitamin A and is also linked to preventing cancer, giving you healthier looking skin and aids in digestion.

Another interesting combination of ingredients that I am going to have to try. Sounds rather refreshing.
I love avocado and banana, what a cool combo! I will be sure to try this!
not too bad… but I can’t say it’s amazing. just not my taste probably. I did try it with pineapple juice as well which gave it a little more fruit ‘tang’ and a nice smell… I liked it better this way but still not “amazing” for me.
Thank you for sharing Alan! I love the idea of adding in the pineapple juice, I will have to try that. I do have at least 50 smoothie recipes here on the blog, be sure to try another one and let me know your thoughts!
