2 Ingredient Pineapple Angel Food Cake
I have an amazingly easy…and delicious dessert recipe for you all today. The 4th of July is right around the corner – and whether you are having a gathering at your house or heading out to one, a yummy dessert is always a good item to have for everyone to enjoy. I really like this Pineapple Angel Food Cake recipe because it is also low fat, in fact it’s even an Weight Watchers approved recipe 🙂 According to the new WW program, this dessert is 7 Points.
It only takes TWO ingredients! It doesn’t get much easier than that! I went to the store and grabbed crushed pineapple in 100% juice and a box of Angel Food Cake mix and I was on my way to making this delicious dessert. My kids aren’t even big pineapple fans (WHAT?! I know, I know…craziness) and they really like this recipe.
It’s a no-fuss recipe that delivers a light, fluffy, and perfectly sweet treat. The natural sweetness and juiciness from the pineapple give the cake an irresistible tropical flavor, making it a great choice for summer gatherings, potlucks, or when you just need a quick dessert fix.
It’s naturally lower in fat compared to traditional cakes, which makes it an excellent option when you want something sweet without feeling weighed down. Plus, since it comes together in minutes, it’s perfect those who want a treat without a lot hassle.
Why We Love This Pineapple Angel Food Cake
- Just Two Ingredients! – Do I need to say more?
- Moist & Refreshing – The natural sweetness and juiciness from the pineapple add the perfect amount of moisture.
- No-Fail Recipe – Whether you’re a seasoned baker or just starting out, this recipe is practically foolproof. No special techniques or fancy equipment needed—just mix, bake, and enjoy!
- Light & Guilt-Free – With no added butter or oil, this cake is naturally lower in fat than traditional cakes, making it a great option for a lighter dessert.
How to Store Pineapple Angel Food Cake
- At Room Temperature: If you plan to enjoy the cake within a day or two, simply cover it loosely with plastic wrap or aluminum foil and store it at room temperature. This helps maintain its light and airy texture while preventing it from drying out.
- In the Refrigerator: For longer storage, place the cake in an airtight container or cover it well and refrigerate for up to 5 days. Since the pineapple adds extra moisture, chilling the cake helps preserve its freshness.
- Freezing for Later: If you want to save some for later, this cake freezes beautifully! Slice it into portions, wrap each slice tightly in plastic wrap, and place them in a freezer-safe bag or container. It will stay fresh for up to 3 months. When ready to enjoy, just let a slice thaw at room temperature for about 20-30 minutes.
I mean, that is if you actually have any leftovers….We never do!

Yum! This looks so delicious and sounds perfect for our 4th of July BBQ!
I had the recipe to make angel bars, which is the same recipe only done in a 9 x 13 pan and cut into bars. I don’t know why but the cookies came out stuck in the pan and very difficult to get out to eat. I never made them again, which is a bummer cuz when I had tasted them I loved them and asked for the recipe. Maybe I need to try again….
