Easy Fall Caramel Apple Board

You are going to love this delicious and EASY Fall caramel apple board. It’s perfect for a party, football game, or a family movie night at home. Caramel apples are a staple treat of the fall season, and there’s no wondering why…they are absolutely delicious.

This board takes caramel apples which everyone already loves, and makes them even better. How do you make something so delicious even better you ask? By letting everyone make them to suit their own taste buds with some fantastic toppings.

Before I could make my caramel apple board I had to make a quick Publix run to grab a few ingredients. I love shopping at Publix, and I know that the purchases I make here help feed my local community through their Feeding America program. Did you know that 1 in 5 children in the United States experiences hunger and food insecurity? Publix, along with Healthy Family Project, aims to fix that.

When you are at Publix and exploring the produce section, keep an eye out for signs showcasing the Produce for Kids partners. Right now, these incredible partners are running a campaign to donate funds to local Feeding America Food Banks. In fact, in 2023, Produce for Kids and Publix celebrated 21 years of partnership, having raised over $3.9 million for local charities in the Publix community since 2002. That’s definitely a partnership I’m proud to support!

Ingredients for Caramel Apple Board

So let’s talk about what you are going to need to set up your caramel apple board so that you and your family and friends can enjoy it.

Apples – I used CMI Orchards Hero Gala apples for their sweet, crisp texture, and mild flavor that really stands out with your caramel and toppings.

Caramel – I used Marzetti caramel, you can find it in the produce section of your grocery store. It tastes yummy, and it’s easy to use. Just pop it in the microwave for a few seconds and you are ready to go.

Almonds – I used almonds for one of my toppings for a little crunch and they are so good for you too. I used Mariani Nuts slivered almonds.

Granola – Granola are a great salty nut that pairs well with crisp sweet apples, and your sweet and creamy caramel.

M&M’s – You can use M&M’s or mini M&M’s for your apple board so that everyone can use them to decorate their apple slices.

Pretzels – Apples aren’t the only thing you can dip in your caramel, you can dip pretzels in it too for a sweet and salty snack. You could also stack a pretzel on top of your caramel-dipped apple slice, maybe with an M&M or two… see where I’m going with this? The possibilities are endless!

I also added brownie brittle – well, because it’s chocolate and delicious 😉

Caramel Apple Board Wine Pairing Tips

If your caramel apple board is for grown-up gatherings you might want to pair it with some adult beverages too. Here are a few wine pairing suggestions that you might like.

Semi-sweet Riesling – A semi-sweet Riesling wine is full-bodied enough to match the caramel, while the fruity notes compliment the flavor of the apples.

Champagne The dryness of this sparkling wine pairs well with the saltiness of the caramel and the sweetness of it goes well with the fruity flavors of the apple.

Pinot Grigio – Another dry wine is Pinot Grigio, it will assist in cutting through the creamy richness of the caramel and highlights the bright crisp flavor of the apples.

Now you know everything you need to know about how to make a fantastic fall caramel apple board. Serve it for a fun family night activity, or if you are having a party it’s something different that you can serve that your guests won’t be expecting.
