Cool down with this refreshing strawberry rhubarb milkshake made with Florida milk! A delicious summer treat that’s fruity, nostalgic, and packed with fresh flavor. While this post is sponsored by Florida Dairy Farmers, all opinions, my love of yummy milkshakes and the recipe are my own.
When’s the last time you had a milkshake? How about the last time you made one? There’s something nostalgic about sipping on a milkshake, isn’t there? For me, I think back to when I was a kid and my parents took me to one of those drive-in diners and I would get a foot-long chili dog and a chocolate shake. We would sit in the car and enjoy our meals and I would hope that I wouldn’t make a mess on my dad’s seats with the chili 🙂
Now, I look at milkshakes as a kind of a splurge…but why? Because I’m not that little kid anymore? I’m not sure…But I decided it was time to treat myself and make a milkshake. First of all, let me tell you that they are super easy to make…I know that may seem obvious, but I am hear to tell you that you don’t have to go to that favorite diner or fast food place and spend $15 on a milkshake, you can have one ready at home in minutes and you won’t even make a mess in the kitchen!
Seriously, why don’t we do this more often?!
Here’s to making more milkshakes! Cheers 🙂
Let me tell you, there isn’t much like sipping on a frosty milkshake during a hot summer day in Florida! Especially when it’s made with farm-fresh Florida Milk, juicy strawberries, and that tart little twist from rhubarb. This Rhubarb Strawberry Milkshake is the perfect blend of nostalgia and summer sweetness.
Why We Love This Milkshake
This milkshake is more than just pretty. It’s fruity, creamy, and completely crave-worthy. Rhubarb and strawberries are a classic combo of sweet meets tart in the best way possible and when blended with vanilla ice cream and milk, they create a flavor that’s just perfection. Topped with whipped cream and an extra strawberry or two, it’s basically sunshine in a glass.
And can we take a moment for that strawberry rhubarb sauce? It’s cooked down to a jammy, gorgeous pink swirl that not only looks beautiful in your glass but adds serious flavor.
Why We Love Florida Milk
Florida Milk isn’t just a tasty addition to this milkshake, it’s packed with nutrients that keep our bodies going strong. With essential nutrients like calcium, vitamin D, potassium, and high-quality protein, milk is a powerhouse ingredient for kids and adults alike.
Plus, when you buy Florida Milk, you’re supporting local farmers, real families who care about the cows, the land, and delivering fresh milk to our communities.
Health Benefits of Dairy
Dairy products like milk, cheese, and yogurt are full of nutrients that are especially important for growing kids, active adults, and anyone looking to build or maintain strong bones. Calcium and vitamin D work together to strengthen bones and teeth, while protein helps build and repair muscle. Basically, it’s delicious and good for you. Score!
Why We’re Crushing on Rhubarb and Strawberries
Strawberries are bursting with antioxidants and vitamin C, making them an immune-boosting treat that’s just as good for your body as it is for your tastebuds. Rhubarb, while tart and often underused, is high in fiber and vitamin K—which supports healthy bones and helps with digestion. Together, they pack this milkshake with more than just good flavor—they add nutritional goodness too.
Make It Your Own
If you’re feeling fancy, add a drizzle of chocolate syrup, a scoop of strawberry ice cream, or even a splash of vanilla extract. And if you’ve got helpers in the kitchen, let them smear the sauce on the glasses, it’s messy fun they’ll have fun with!
Alright, here’s what you are going to need:
