As the weather cools down I have a cocktail to warm you up. This spiked hot apple cider is an easy cocktail recipe that you make in the crockpot. Cheers!
Spiked Hot Apple Cider
Nothing quite says fall like Apple Cider. Make it a Spiked Hot Apple Cider and you are talking my language π Cooler weather often calls for family gatherings and time outside that’s why I love that this cocktail recipe actually makes 16 servings. Plus, it’s really easy to make!
I do recommend using real apple cider, not the stuff that looks like apple juice. You can usually find real apple cider in the produce section of most stores. If you are lucky enough to have an apple orchard close by, definitely head there to get your fresh apple cider! It doesn’t get much fresher than directly from the apple orchard.
To make my spiked hot apple cider you only need a few ingredients: Apple cider, cinnamon sticks, and cinnamon schnapps. For toppings you will need dulce de leche, caramel topping and whipped cream.
To make spiked hot apple cider you simply warm up the cider and cinnamon sticks in the crockpot and when you are ready to serve, add in the cinnamon schnapps and top with whipped cream, dulce de leche, and caramel . I like making this spiked apple cider in my slow cooker because it’s easy and it makes the house smell amazing all day!
Now, here is my Slow Cooker Spiked Hot Apple Cider recipe, be sure to Print It and Pin It so that you can make it again and again.

Can this spiked hot apple cider be made into a mocktail?
Yes, absolutely! Simply leave out the cinnamon schnapps to make this into a decadent hot apple cider.
Can you make this spiked hot apple cider on the stove?
Sure! I like using the slow cooker because I don’t have to watch it. If you want to make this delicious fall cocktail on the stove, simple warm the cider and cinnamon in a pot on the stove until it’s warm and you are ready to serve.
Do you have to top your hot cider with dulce de leche and caramel ?
No, you don’t have to. It does indeed add extra calories, but topping your hot cider with dulce de leche and caramel makes it extra yummy.
Can you add different alcohol to your spiked hot apple cider?
Of course! Jim Beam Apple Bourbon Whiskey and Fireball would also be amazing. Feel free to experiment with your favorites. I do recommend using an alcohol that is either apple or cinnamon flavored.
