This easy Pizza Frittata recipe is packed with protein and flavor! Made with eggs, veggies, and mozzarella, it’s a wholesome meal the whole family will love. Ready in just 20 minutes. While this post is sponsored by Florida Dairy Farmers, all opinions, my love of easy meals and the recipe are my own.
Who says pizza can’t be healthy? This Pizza Frittata brings all your favorite pizza flavors together in one easy, wholesome, protein-packed meal! Both my kids are big into having all meals and snacks be protein-packed at the moment. Which is a great and a nutritious way for all of us to meal-prep and eat, but I have lost the creative ability to come up with meals! Well, until now.
We all love pizza. I mean, pizza is one of the best comfort foods ever created. I mean, I think I could live on just pizza, cheese and bread. Actually….isn’t cheese and bread the start to pizza?? Well, and wine and Florida Milk too 😉 But, since that’s not really feasible, I love coming up with different ways to enjoy our favorite flavors, but it’s a protein-packed menu item.
Hello Pizza Frittata!
With just 20 minutes from start to finish, it’s a go-to dish you’ll turn to on busy weeknights, slow weekend mornings, or even meal prep days. And yes—it’s just as good reheated the next day (if you have leftovers!).
My son typically has 3-4 eggs every morning over avocado toast. So, I started making this Pizza Frittata part of our meal prep once a month. I make it on a Sunday and he will eat it throughout the week. It’s something new for him, it’s loaded with protein like he enjoys, and it’s super easy to make. In fact, he already said he would make it on his own when he heads back to college in August! That’s a huge compliment in my world 🙂
But this frittata isn’t just about bold flavor, it’s a nutritional powerhouse, too.
Why Protein Matters
We talk a lot about the importance of protein in our diets, and for good reason. Protein plays a vital role in supporting muscle growth, repairing tissues, and keeping us feeling full and energized throughout the day. It’s especially important for growing kids and active families who need steady fuel for busy days, school, sports, and everything in between.
Protein helps:
- Build and repair muscles and tissues
- Keep us feeling full and satisfied
- Maintain a healthy immune system
This Pizza Frittata delivers a balanced dose of high-quality protein from the eggs, whole Florida milk, mozzarella cheese, and even the pepperoni. Pair it with a cold glass of Florida Milk, and you’re giving your body an extra boost of 13 essential nutrients, including calcium, vitamin D, and more protein.
This frittata doesn’t stop at protein, it’s also packed with veggies. From sweet onions and peppers to fresh spinach and a kick of heat from jalapeño, you’re sneaking in vitamins, antioxidants, and fiber with every bite. Plus, fresh basil and oregano give it that classic Italian flair that makes this dish smell (and taste) like your favorite pizza.
Why We Love This Recipe
This Pizza Frittata is versatile enough to serve for breakfast, brunch, or dinner, and it’s easy to adapt. You all know that we add spice/heat to just about everything we eat, but that doesn’t mean you have it! Skip the jalapenos if you want! Or just take out the seeds for a little less heat 😉
You can swap the pepperoni for turkey sausage, or go all veggie! Plus, it’s a great way to use up what’s in the fridge while making sure your family gets the protein and nutrients they need to thrive. We are all about zero food waste meal ideas!
Don’t have mozzarella? Use cheddar! Or omit the cheese all together.
It’s ready in 20 minutes! Making it perfect for a quick breakfast option any day of the week, or an easy weeknight “breakfast for dinner” option.
You only dirty one pan! That’s right, everything is cooked in the same pan. Just make sure you are using a pan that can go into the oven.
Serve it hot out of the oven, pair it with a side salad or fruit, and you’ve got a complete, delicious meal that feels indulgent, but is actually super good for you. Bring on the protein and nutrients!
Alright, you all ready to make a Pizza Frittata? Let’s do it!

- 1 cup whole Florida Milk
- 1/2 cup marinara sauce
- 1 teaspoon fresh oregano – chopped
- 1 teaspoon fresh basil – chopped
- 1/2 cup whole milk mozzarella shredded
- 12-14 pepperoni slices
- 1 sweet onion diced – I used a Vidalia Onion
- 1 jalapeno diced – remove seeds for less heat
- 4 mini sweet peppers diced
- 1 1/2 cups fresh spinach approx 2 handfuls
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
- Clean and dice all veggies.
- Warm an oven-safe skillet, spray with olive oil spray.
- Add the onions, cook for 2- 3 minutes.
- Add in the peppers.
- While vegetables are cooking, mix eggs, fresh herbs, marinara sauce and milk in a medium bowl.
- Once the vegetables are soft, add in the spinach and cook for 1 min. It will shrink a lot.
- Gently pour in the milk/egg mixture to the skillet.
- Allow it to cook for 5-6 minutes, until the edges have begun to set, undisturbed.
- Next, sprinkle the cheese on top of the egg mixture.
- Top with the pepperoni slices.
- Transfer the frittata to the oven and allow it to cook for 6 minutes, until the eggs are cooked through.
- Serve with a glass of Florida Milk.
- Enjoy!
