We’ve all been there before. The night when you ask the kids to help you set the dinner table, and they agree happily. Each child has their own tasks, whether it’s getting the silverware or plates, and you just smile at how well everything is going. Then you pour the milk and ask the kids to bring the cups to the table….and one of the cups tips over.
This happened to me just last week. Milk was EVERYWHERE. I took a deep breath, and immediately I tell the kids to hurry and grab the paper towel and help clean up. Don’t cry over spilled milk, momma. Deep breathes, we will have it cleaned up in no time.
Then I hear “Mom! Where is the paper towel?”
Me: “Where it always is, right on the counter.”
Son: “Where?”
Me: “Seriously, son?” This is where mom inserts foot in mouth. There is no paper towel on the counter. The paper towel holder is completely empty. That’s right, I was supposed to get more a few days ago. In the mean time my daughter runs to the bathroom and grabs the hand towels and starts cleaning up the spilled milk. Not the ideal way to clean up milk, but you gotta appreciate that she went for something that would work 🙂

My oops was obviously not having paper towel in the house. It’s something we use just about everyday, but mom-brain takes over sometimes and I forget to stop at the store. It happens. Oops’ happen.
But not anymore. That’s right, mom-brain wins no more! Walmart saves the day with easy online ordering of ALL my favorite P&G Essentials. One being Bounty Paper Towel 😉 So, if I forget to head to the store while I am out and about, but I remember at 9 P.M. after the kids are in bed and my pjs are on, I can just open up my computer and get whatever I need on www.avoidtheoops.com.
What other products will help you Avoid The Oops? Dishwasher tablets when the dishwasher is crazy full…and so is the sink. Tide Pods, for when you start the laundry and realize there is no laundry detergent in the house. Oh, the possibilities are endless….Thank goodness you can easily shop by category too. You know, so if you jump on to buy paper towel and see the “Kitchen” Category and suddenly remember that the dishwasher needs to be turned on….if you had dishwasher tablets 😉

I haven’t cried over spilled milk, but I have over spilled nail polish remover! That stuff can ruin whatever it touches!

Actually, towels or rags work perfectly well to clean up spills. I recommend you try using rags to clean up spills. Milk washes right out in the washing machine, and you’ll save a fortune not having to buy disposable paper towels.
My teen when she was younger wrote with permanent marker on my kitchen cabinets! Thank goodness I had a natural cleaner that lifted it off so I could wipe it away!
