Chocolate Strawberry Banana Smoothie
The Delicious Part Of My Day
It’s Monday. Time to get back on track for the relaxation and fun family time of the weekend. Anyone else have a hard time getting motivated?! How do you start your day? I never thought that I was a creature of habit, as I feel like I am always doing a million things, but I really am!
I wake up in the morning, have my glass of water, then my cup of coffee, then I get the kids ready for school….make lunches and all that fun stuff.
Then we walk up to the bus stop, the kids love to ride their scooters up. I love to walk up to the bus stop, it gives the kids and I a minute to chat and I figure it gives me a little extra cardio for the day π
When I get back home and park the scooters, I water my flowers and grab whatever weeds may have snuck in. I am LOVING my flowers this year! The colors are just gorgeous and they make me smile. Those pink ones are my favorite at the moment…they are so bright!
Then it’s time for me to have breakfast. My tummy is officially growling at me at this point. I always have a smoothie for breakfast. Smoothies are am easy way to add fruits and vegetables to your diet. Today I had a Chocolate Strawberry Banana Smoothie…with greens. Fruit and vegetable serving already in before 10 a.m. – woohoo!
I added Coconut Oil for some added natural benefits and I made it with TruMoo Lowfat Chocolate Milk.
DELICIOUS.
Now that I have my fuel for the day, it’s time to get some work done here on Food Wine Sunshine!
Unfortunately, the laundry fairy didn’t come this past weekend (did yours? If so…PLEASE send her my way!), so the not-so-fun tasks also have to get done. Then before you know it the kids are home and it’s time for dinner and soccer practice.
Time sure does fly, doesn’t it? Thank goodness I allow myself those few moments a day to relax and enjoy my smoothie π Speaking of my smoothie, I wanted to share my recipe with you guys. It’s definitely one you are going to want to try.
Here is my Chocolate Strawberry Banana Smoothie Recipe. Be sure to Print It and Pin It so that you can make it again and again.

- 1/2 banana
- 1 tablespoon of coconut oil
- handle of greens
- 5 ice cubes
- 1/2 cup TruMoo Low Fat Chocolate Milk
- Place the ingredients as listed above into your blending device – I use the Nutri Ninja Auto iQ
- Blend until smooth
- Enjoy!
I hope you enjoy this Chocolate Strawberry Banana Smoothie with Greens Recipe as much as I do!
As I mentioned, I used TruMoo Chocolate Milk in this recipe. While it is my kids absolute favorite drink, it is also one of mine! Not only is it a great source of protein, but is made with no high fructose corn syrup and no artificial growth hormones. So I can feel good about giving to the kids and ME.
The next time you need a few moments of YOU time in your day, grab the TruMoo and make this smoothie recipe, enjoy…then tackle that laundry pile π
TruMoo Chocolate Milk is made with fresh white milk – sourced from your local dairy– pure cocoa, and just enough natural sugar to make it taste great.
I don’t think it’s a coincidence that after every race I do, the race volunteers are usually standing there giving you chocolate milk π It’s GOOD FOR US!
Be sure to grab TruMoo the next time you are at your favorite retailer. Don’t forget to share it with the kids too π

This sounds delicious! My favorite smoothie flavor is strawberry banana. Yum!
Which greens do you like to use the most?
Jeanine, I usually just grab what I have in my refrigerator at the time. This time it was a baby lettuce blend. I have used the Spinach blends too. I am yet to use kale, but it is on my agenda to try here soon! All the greens I have tried add little to no flavor, but a lot of nutrients to the smoothie!
Looks tasty! I love trying different smoothie flavor combinations. I will have to try this one.
Well, my blender isn’t working at the present time (it’s an old one). I have saved so many smoothie recipes to try, however, have not tried any as of yet. When you say “greens”, what type of “greens” are you talking about? Can you taste the “greens” in the smoothie? I’m just wondering because I’ve never tried to make one yet due to my blender (I know it won’t chip up the ice and mix everything up really well!)! Thanks so much for sharing your delicious recipe for Chocolate Strawberry Banana Smoothie β The Delicious Part Of My Day with all of us! It sure sounds good! I’ve saved the recipe! Thanks again! Michele π
Hi Michelle!! I usually just grab what I have in my refrigerator – you know – the one you buy for salad to serve at dinner lol.. This time it was a baby lettuce blend. I have used the Spinach blends too. I have yet to use kale, but it is on my agenda to try here soon! All the greens I have tried add little to no flavor, but a lot of nutrients to the smoothie! Don’t be scared to add them when you get that new blender π
dont know about the greens but the rest of it sounds good,,and looks good
You don’t taste the greens, but they give you added nutrients – go ahead – give it a try π You’ll be surprised!
