Did you see that…the words AVOCADO and SMOOTHIE together.  You may think I am crazy…my mom thought it was a bit weird, but I decided I was going to try it.  What did I have to lose right?  I mean avocados are extremely good for you, so why not add them to my morning routine?!

Avocado Raspberry Banana Smoothie

I grabbed my avocado, Driscoll’s Raspberries, Chiquita bananas, and carrots at Publix and I was on my way to a new experiment.  Avocados in my smoothie 🙂

Easy Avocado Raspberry Banana Smoothie

I add in my ice cubes and coconut water and I was amazed on how well the flavors blended together to a creamy deliciousness!

Here are some of the health benefits to the ingredients I added to this smoothie recipe:

Avocados – Besides being loaded with the “good fat”, they help heart health, lower cholesterol and lower triglycerides. Plus, they make your smoothie extra creamy 🙂

Raspberries – These beautiful berries are rich in vitamins, antioxidants and fiber.  They also have a high concentration of ellagic acid which has been said to help prevent cancer.

Bananas – Besides tasting great, they are loaded with potassium which helps muscles recover and relax, and they have also been known to help you sleep better.

Carrots – The orange powerfood will give you vitamin A and is also linked to preventing cancer, giving you healthier looking skin and aids in digestion.

    1. This looks great and so healthy! Can’t wait to try it. Will pass it on to my sister-in-law. She also loves smoothies

  1. I have tried, but I just can’t get next to the avocados and the fruit thing that is os popular now. I do like them in a ‘green’ smoothie with parsley and lemon.

  2. Not a fan of bananas but a huge fan of smoothies so I know I can tweak this to my liking…thanks for sharing via #TBB #FridayShareFest

  3. I will pin this recipe when I am finished. I love V8 Vegetable Juice and I love fruit smoothies. The thought of the 2 different types mixed together doesn’t usually sit well with me. However after reading your recipe I am going to give it a Chance. It is new one for me and I would love to try it!! Thankyou for sharing!! :0)~~

  4. Great way for those who don’t like avocados to eat them and get all the nutrition.

  5. We eat a lot of smoothies, but my 2 year old refuses to drink them unless I put in a spoonful of cocoa powder and call it a milkshake. Whatever, kid’s eating yogurt and fruit without any sugar added in anywhere so I’ll take it.

    1. It was the 1st time I did it and I was pleasantly surprised 🙂 Be sure to let me know if you try it!

  6. What an interesting combination of flavors. It is full of good nutrients. I hope it tastes as good as it looks.

  7. I love how it’s really healthy, But I’m unsure about the Avocado, they aren’t my forte’! but I would be willing to give it a try! I always try everything once, sometimes twice!

  8. I think this is a new twist to fruit smoothies. The avocado seed can be saved to grow a plant.

  9. I’ve been on a smoothie kick and this sounds great! I will definitely be trying this.
