Simply Sunshine Wine Cocktail
Who’s ready for Happy Hour? Virtual Happy Hour? Well, this Simply Sunny Wine Cocktail is the perfect way to say Cheers after a long day. Or any day really 😉 This vodka wine cocktail is simply made with a few ingredients and is light and refreshing. If you all know me, you know I love a good glass of wine, however when I was playing bartender a few years back and created my Call Me A Cab Vodka Lemonade Wine Cocktail I discovered that wine can make for an easy mixer in some cocktails. Especially if you take into account the flavor profile of the wine and enhance them with how you choose to create your wine cocktail. And you all agreed with me. The Call Me A Cab Wine Cocktail is still the most popular cocktail creation on my website, 3 years later.
So, this is another wine cocktail for you all to try, and I hope you enjoy it as much as they others I have created.
For my Simply Sunshine Vodka Wine Cocktail you will need:
Orange Slices
Vodka
Triple Sec
Sauvignon Blanc
Orange Sparkling Water – soda water will work find as well.
That’s it! Well, and some ice. Sauvignon Blanc is a dry white wine often described with citrus notes, so adding the triple sec and orange slices is a perfect wine cocktail creation.

Simply Sunshine Vodka Wine Cocktail
Ingredients
- 1½ oz vodka
- 1½ oz triple sec
- 3 oz Sauvignon Blanc I used CK Mondavi and Family
- 2 orange slices
- 2 oz Sparkling water or soda water I used orange flavored sparkling water
- ice
Instructions
- Add orange slices to your favorite glass
- Fill glass with a handful of ice
- Pour in vodka, triple sec and wine
- Give a gentle stir
- Top with sparking water
- Garnish with additional orange slice if desired
- Enjoy

You could also describe this wine cocktail as a spritzer, a wine spritzer is typically wine mixed with club soda or soda water and is best served cold. Since I added in the vodka and triple sec to this drink, I decided it was more of a cocktail. You can call it whichever you prefer, but after one or two of these you will see why I called it Simply Sunshine. It’s like Sunshine in a glass.
