And now the Florida Prepaid College Board is allowing customers to defer payments. The Board’s hope is that this will provide some financial relief for families impacted by COVID-19.

Is there a Florida Prepaid Discount Code?

Yes. New customers do not have to pay an application fee. Use discount code SAVING20 for the waived application fee.

When will my first Florida Prepaid Payment be if I defer payments?

  • New customers will not make their first payment until July 20, 2020.
  • Current customers will have their next payment due date moved to July 20, 2020.

Can you still make your previously scheduled Florida Prepaid Plan payments?

Yes, absolutely. Families can continue to make payments as previously scheduled if they choose. Simply log into your online account and set up a one-time payment, by sending a check or money order, or by making a payment through your online banking provider.

How does the deferment of Florida Prepaid Plan payments work?

If you choose to defer payments until July, this will add three months to the tail end of your payment schedule. All payments will resume on July 20, 2020, and payment schedules will be extended by three months.

If you are currently making payments via check, online banking or payroll deduction, action is required. Please contact your payment provider if you wish to pause payments at this time.

If you are currently making automatic payments (via ACH) through your online account, the Board will not collect your payments that would have otherwise been collected in April, May and June. Your payments will be automatically restarted in July. No action is required.

If you would like to continue making payments during this time, action is required. You may still make payments by logging into your online account and setting up a one-time payment, by sending a check or money order, or by making a payment through your online banking provider.

If you defer your payments, will it take longer to pay your Florida Prepaid Plan off?

If you defer payments during April, May and June, this will add three months to your payment schedule.

If you am a new customer, can you start making plan payments prior to July?

Yes. If you would like to make payments during this time you definitely can. You will have to log into your online account and set up a one-time payment, by sending a check or money order, or by making a payment through your online banking provider.

Where can you learn more about your Plan payments?

Account access is available 24/7 online, you just have to login to your account at myfloridaprepaid.com. Basic account functions can be completed right online, including making one-time payments, adjusting recurring payments and adding new Plans.
