Beet Cucumber Protein Smoothie
I have been getting more and more adventurous with my Beets lately in my smoothies. I went to my local Trader Joe’s (local meaning within 45 mins) for the first time a few weeks ago and I noticed that beets are WAY cheap there! So, I grabbed a few bags and I have been creating away in the smoothie department 🙂 I also bought my 1st ever Almond Beverage. My friend can’t have dairy, so she drinks it all the time so I decided to give it a whirl!
I am surprised that for someone that had never eaten a beet before, that I am actually enjoying them! Plus, the color of the smoothie always comes out of the blender so pretty!

Beet Cucumber Almond Milk Smoothie
- 4 slices cucumber
- 1 small beet - sliced
- 5 strawberries greens cut off
- ½ banana
- 4 ice cubes
- 4 oz Almond Milk or liquid of your choice
- Place ingredients in a blending device as listed above
- Blend until smooth

Beets – They are very high in vitamin C, fiber, potassium, and they also contain vitamin B.
Cucumbers – These are great for rehydration. Cucumbers are also a great source of vitamin B, so that means they are a natural pick-me-up.
Strawberries – These red beauties are loaded with vitamins, fiber, and potassium. As an added benefit – they are fat-free 🙂
Bananas – Besides tasting great, they are loaded with potassium which helps muscles recover and relax, and they have also been known to help you sleep better.
