Beet Cucumber Protein Smoothie
I have been getting more and more adventurous with my Beets lately in my smoothies. I went to my local Trader Joe’s (local meaning within 45 mins) for the first time a few weeks ago and I noticed that beets are WAY cheap there! So, I grabbed a few bags and I have been creating away in the smoothie department 🙂 I also bought my 1st ever Almond Beverage. My friend can’t have dairy, so she drinks it all the time so I decided to give it a whirl!
I am surprised that for someone that had never eaten a beet before, that I am actually enjoying them! Plus, the color of the smoothie always comes out of the blender so pretty!
Now, here is my Beet Cucumber Almond Milk Protein Smoothie Recipe, be sure to Print It and Pin It so that you can make it again and again.
Beet Cucumber Almond Milk Smoothie
- 4 slices cucumber
- 1 small beet - sliced
- 5 strawberries greens cut off
- ½ banana
- 4 ice cubes
- 4 oz Almond Milk or liquid of your choice
- Place ingredients in a blending device as listed above
- Blend until smooth
Here are some of the health benefits to the ingredients in this protein smoothie:
Beets – They are very high in vitamin C, fiber, potassium, and they also contain vitamin B.
Cucumbers – These are great for rehydration. Cucumbers are also a great source of vitamin B, so that means they are a natural pick-me-up.
Strawberries – These red beauties are loaded with vitamins, fiber, and potassium. As an added benefit – they are fat-free 🙂
Bananas – Besides tasting great, they are loaded with potassium which helps muscles recover and relax, and they have also been known to help you sleep better.
I hope you enjoy this Beet Cucumber Almond Milk Smoothie Recipe as much as I do!

This looks like a good recipe, I am going to go ahead and try it out.
You have to be careful when you use beets since they can overpower the drink if you use too much.
I love beets and I bet that this recipe not only tastes great but it gives you energy. Nice way to sneak the veggies into the diet.
I have made strawberry banana smoothies, but I have never added beets to any smoothie, this will be interesting to try. Thank you for sharing this recipe.
I’m not a big fan of beet but this smoothie sounds interesting. Gonna give it a try.
I’m not a big fan of beets either lol – but they are really good for us and actually aren’t that bad in smoothies 😉 Be sure to come back and let me know if you try it!
I’ve tried beets in smoothies much better than any other way
Yes, I am much better about adding them to my smoothies than cooking with them!
