We all have it. Stress. Whether it’s from a project at work, the 4 hours of homework that the kids have, the baseball practice that you forgot to write on the calendar and are now 15 minutes late for, the car needs to get into the shop, or that today…is just one of those days. Stress is something that we all live with, but that doesn’t mean it’s good for you. In fact, stress is not good for the mind, body, or soul. Too much stress can lead to headaches, stomach aches, increased blood pressure, and problems sleeping. I know we can’t live completely stress-free lives, but there are ways to manage stress that will make you feel better. Inside and out.

Even if you aren’t a yogi, you can meditate. Just close your eyes, relax your muscles and let go for a few minutes. Try doing it once a day, it is proven to help reduce stress and ease anxiety.
Take a deep breath…or 10
Inhale deep and exhale out all those bad vibes. Taking several deep breathes will help you clear your mind, help you focus, and even lower your blood pressure.
Stop what you are doing, all 100 things, and just slow down for a moment. Once you slow down you can take a step back and focus on what really needs to be done and what is important.
Talk to a friend
I know I can’t live without human interaction. Sometimes all it takes is a call to a loved one to help calm you.
Close your eyes and relax your mind and muscles. Find a quiet spot to sit – your couch, your car, whatever works – and just relax for 5 to 10 minutes.
