Peanut Butter Vanilla Protein Smoothie

Peanut butter, vanilla, and add in some fruit and vegetables and you got yourself an amazing smoothie that will definitely have your morning off to a great start.  I was introduced to Jif Powder not too long ago and I have been loving the added benefits of peanut butter (and taste!) but not all the extra fat in my smoothies.  Combined with my Juice Plus+ Complete Vanilla Shake Mix and I almost feel like I am having a dessert 🙂

Healthy Peanut Butter Vanilla Smoothie

In this Peanut Butter Vanilla Protein Smoothie you will see that I also added in turmeric and cinnamon, both of which are in my smoothies on a fairly regular basis, they are great for you! Plus you can’t really taste either one, so you are getting the benefits, but not compromising the flavor of your smoothie.  Turmeric helps with inflammation and cinnamon will give your metabolism a boost.

Here’s why I chose carrots and bananas in this smoothie recipe:

Carrots – The orange powerfood will give you vitamin A and is also linked to preventing cancer, giving you healthier looking skin and aids in digestion.

Bananas – Besides tasting great, they are loaded with potassium which helps muscles recover and relax, and they have also been known to help you sleep better.
