Avocados and beets are two amazing superfoods. Blend them together in this Easy Avocado Beet smoothie recipe to stay fueled and feel great. This healthy smoothie is ready in just a few minutes.
Avocado Beet Smoothie
Well, I did it. I combined two ingredients that I never thought I would even add to my smoothie individually. Beets and avocados. Talk about super foods, huh? I had a beet that needed to be used and an avocado that was calling my name, so to the blender I went! And much to my surprise, it was good! The avocado and banana really work well together to give you a creamy texture and I just love the color that beets give you 🙂
Here are some of the health benefits of the ingredients in this protein smoothie:
Avocados – Besides being loaded with the “good fat”, they help heart health, lower cholesterol and lower triglycerides. Plus, they make your smoothie extra creamy 🙂
Beets – They are very high in vitamin C, fiber, potassium, and they also contain vitamin B. Beets have many health benefits, that’s why they are considered a super food!
Bananas – Besides tasting great, they are loaded with potassium which helps muscles recover and relax, and they have also been known to help you sleep better.
Coconut Water – Is a great way to re-hydrate your body and it is loaded with potassium as well. Both of these benefits are great any time of day, but especially if you exercise on a regular basis, it’s great for your muscles.
Cinnamon – If you want to add that natural touch of sweetness to this healthy smoothie, go ahead and sprinkle a little cinnamon on top! Cinnamon also has health benefits, such as helping to increase our metabolism. As a 40+ year old momma, I can say that I will take all the help I can get in that department.
So adding these ingredients together will definitely help you to get your day going or re-power you after your workout. I know that the combination may seem weird at first, but I promise you it’s actually really good. And it’s pretty!

Smoothies are actually really to easy to make and are so versatile. Simply add your fruits and vegetables to a blender and start feeling great! I do always recommend that you have either equal amounts of fruit and vegetables or more vegetables. While fruit is sweet and delicious, it is also filled with natural sugars which will increase your calorie count. So, just be mindful of what you put in!

The banana carrot smoothie looks delicious. I like finding new smoothie ideas. I love using avocado in smoothies it makes the so creamy.
Made this and me and my cat loved it, she couldn’t get enough of it.?
Glad you both enjoyed it!!
This might be a silly question, but do you use a raw beet? Or is it boiled/roasted?
I just used a raw beet! Be sure to let me know if you try it ? Enjoy!
Made this with my immersion blender and was a little grainy from the beets. Is this normal? Otherwise delicious. May try with roasted beets next time.
Yes, it will be just a tad, but shouldn’t be too bad. Trying pulsing it one more time with your blender, or running it an extra time. Or adding in an extra dash of liquid. I haven’t done roasted beets before – if you do try that – be sure to let me know your thoughts! I would love to hear!
Hi,
Is 450 a good estimate for the calories? Smoothies was delicious
Actually it should be less than that! Calories in an avocado are approx 234, and we are only using half. Coconut water only has about 3 calories. Banana is approx 100 calories (for a whole one) and beets are really low in calories too (about 59 in a cup). So you should definitely be under 450 🙂 Glad to hear you enjoyed it!
