Once the bacon is cooked, mix the bacon bits and cream cheese in a medium bowl
Cut the jalapenos in half and remove all the seeds - using gloves if desired
Take equal amounts of the bacon/cream cheese mixture and stuff your pepper halves
Bake at 350 degrees for 20 mins

Notes
You can substitute the bacon in this recipe for sausage. If you prefer your baked jalapeno poppers with cream cheese and sausage, simply cook the sausage and mix that with your cream cheese. Allow the mixture to cool slightly before stuffing your jalapenos. I use one 16 ounce hot breakfast sausage, I have found that the Tennessee Pride brand is the spiciest, which is what we like.I will cook the breakfast sausage in a pan on the stove, drain the grease and then add the cream cheese right to the pan. When it's warm the cream cheese melts easily and you got yourself one delicious stuffing for your baked jalapeno poppers without bacon.
