Peppermint Chocolate Icing In The Cake Recipe
Peppermint and chocolate are the perfect holiday flavor combination! Mix them together in this fun icing in the cake recipe.

Ingredients

1 box Devil's Food Cake Mix
▢

eggs
▢

cup
milk - I used skim
▢
¾
cup
vegetable oil
▢
¾
tsp
peppermint extract
▢

can
Creamy Vanilla Frosting
▢

candy canes - crushed
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Mix cake mix, eggs, milk, peppermint extract and oil by HAND until well blended.
Add 3/4 of the frosting to the cake mixture and mix until well blended.
Pour the mixture into a well greased 12 cup bundt/angel food pan
Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes to 1 hour/until done.
Cool for approx. 10 minutes then turn out on to plate.
Take the remainder of the frosting and put it in a microwave safe bowl and warm in 20 second increments until melted.
Drizzle the melted frosting over the cake.
Sprinkle crushed candy canes over the top of the cake.

Notes
*Now, be warned, you must mix the ingredients by hand, NOT with a mixer, if you mix with a mix, the cake tends to over flow!
