K’NEX Mighty Makers is Going Green!

I got a notice from K’NEX a few weeks ago that we would be receiving a Mighty Makers Building Set.  My daughter was SO excited that it was a set that was geared towards girls.  She loves K’NEX and she does build and create with the sets we have, but a set that she could call all her own…now that would be really fun.

From the moment I told her the set was coming, she checked the door daily for a package.  I would be asked if I knew when it would be here about twice a day.  Then, the day that grandma and grandpa flew in for a visit, the package was there!  Talk about perfect timing too, Sadie was absolutely thrilled to have grandma help her make the Mighty Makers: Going Green Building Set.

There were under 100 pieces in this set, which was absolutely perfect for her age and for grandma’s!  Grandma hadn’t done a K’NEX Building Set in a few years 😉  so this was the perfect one to get her back into the habit.  The two of them sat and sorted pieces and bonded until their creation was complete!

I love to plant flowers in my garden, and I spend a decent amount of time making sure my flowers are taken care of, so Sadie really enjoyed that she built her own garden in this Mighty Makers Going Green Building Set.

Kids get the chance to reduce, reuse and rebuild with Zoe and her hedgehog, Roland, in the Mighty Makers Going Green Building Set.  We all loved the little details, like the included tools and that the pieces were fun “girly” colors.  So, what are you waiting for?  Come help Zoe build a garden, greenhouse or flower box!

Included are full color instructions for three different botany themed builds, and an exploration card that challenges builders to explore additional botany concepts. So, when you finish building the set and can’t figure out why you have a few extra pieces, don’t worry, those are for making the other builds that you can make.  I will openly admit that it took 3 adults and 2 kids to figure that out.  I will also openly admit that it is clearly stated in the directions.  Sometimes ya just gotta slow down 😉
