How To Train Your Dragon 3 Movie Review

The adorable dragon, Toothless, is at the center of the new How To Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World movie.  While Hiccup the Viking and Toothless are still the best of friends, they must face the dangers of the world that they created and seek a long-term solution.

How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World emphasizes the importance of family, friends, and loyalty.  We watch as Toothless grows up and experiences romance and power, all by Hiccup’s side.  But Hiccup and Toothless must let go.  Grow up.  And continue on their own journeys.

How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World soared into theaters this past Friday.

Chief Hiccup  (Jay Baruchel) has created a dragon world, where he and his friends and his mother Valka (Cate Blanchett) are dragon rescuers. In one of their rescue missions they encounter a Light Fury, an extremely rare female dragon that resembles Toothless.

We are taken on an adventure with Toothless and the Light Fury as they figure out how to trust each other and grow into a relationship.  But as they relationship grows, the relationship between Hiccup and Toothless is tested.  And the relationship between Chief Hiccup and Astrid (America Ferrera) grows as well.

In How To Train Your Dragon 3 there are battles, kidnappings, laughs, romance, dancing, smiles and maybe a tear of joy for the emotional ones out there (like me).  It is definitely a family-friendly movie that had my 14 year old and 11 year old entertained the entire time, and I thoroughly enjoyed it as well.

How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World is a story about a boy and his best friend and it’s filled with timeless values that we can all appreciate.
