You will truly feel like you are in a Whole New World when you experience Disney’s Aladdin The Musical. This Broadway performance is simply magical. While I was able to see the show at no cost to me, all opinions are my own.

Aladdin The Musical is A Whole New World

A Disney Classic. I remember watching the movie as a young girl and being in love with Jasmines clothes and thinking Aladdin was cute. I remember routing for their love story, the tale that love can conquer all and have a fun twists thanks to a magical genie.

And while I absolutely love Will Smith, I will admit that I haven’t seen him play the genie yet. Gasp! I know.  However, not seeing Aladdin come to life on the big screen made it that much more magical seeing it on stage.

When you already know you love a story, a movie, I often wonder if seeing it live will be as good. But as you can expect, Disney wouldn’t allow anything less than pure magic.

And that’s exactly what Aladdin The Musical was, pure magic.

Let’s start with the Genie shall we? He is incredible!

The opening act is the Genie giving us a little insight to what the show is about, and it’s love at first sight. His voice is amazing, his smile is contagious and you truly believe that is a Genie that can make your wishes come true. He is larger than life, fast talking, and is heart-stealing.

The set is beautiful, the set changes happen without you even noticing, it’s like you are walking through Agrabah with the cast. And the Cave of Wonders. WOW. I honestly don’t know how they managed to get that on stage, it was incredible…it was truly a cave of wonders. If you take a moment and think of all the things that Disney is known for: memories, magical moments, amazing movies, creating movies that we all know and love, and writing music that we can sing along to from adolescence to adulthood. That is what you can expect from Aladdin the Musical, and nothing less.  Disney brought the original film to life in this vibrant and fun-filled story, you’ll find the characters you love bringing a few surprises along with them.

You won’t find a monkey, parrot, or tiger in the stage version of Aladdin. However, Jasmine and Aladdin have close friends that they connect with. Evil Jafar still has an evil sidekick, but this time he is also human, making them the dynamic evil duo that you also kind of love a little.  They definitely make you laugh!
