2nd Annual Key West Mermaid Festival

Havana Cabana at Key West hotel has officially launched “Mermaid Season” in Florida with the announcement of Fintastic Fridays, a weekly, family-friendly opportunity for visitors and locals to celebrate their inner merfolk. Led by real-life professional Mermaid Kristi Ann, the event costs just $99 per person* and includes tail rental, time for open swim with live instruction, two mocktails, and poolside snacks. Starting this month, the weekly experience takes place each Friday from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at Havana Cabana, boasting the largest hotel pool in Key West.

To make an even bigger splash, Havana Cabana at Key West will also host the official opening and closing parties of the 2^nd Annual Key West Mermaid Festival (July 1-5). To kick off this uniquely Key West five-day event, a “Meet the Mermaids and King Neptune” pool party will take place Thursday, July 1 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., with food and drink specials, live music, face painting, shellfies with the Mermaids and King Neptune, and more. Photo opps will be available from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., followed by a private Mermaid Swim from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. (ticket required), and open swim from 3 to 4 p.m. On the Festival’s final day (Monday, July 5), the pool at Havana Cabana at Key West will once again be the site of a “Swim with the Mermaids” celebration from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., with music, games, food and drink, private mermaid swim (10 a.m. to 2 p.m.), and more. A portion of all treasures collected will be donated to Reef Relief, which provides environmental and conservation support to the coral reef ecosystem.

 Conveniently located on the waterfront of US1, the hotel is just three miles from historic Old Town Key West’s many attractions, restaurants, and shops.
