Captain America: The Winter Soldier Movie Review

Captain America comes out in theaters TODAY!  Do you have your tickets?  I have to say, my husband and I really surprised by this one.  He was expecting low-key, and he was thrilled that it was an action-packed movie from the moment it started.  It was non-stop, on the edge of your seat action!

I am pretty sure that my husband left with nail marks in his arm from all my grasping.  The cast is absolutely amazing.  I know that this is one film that will be in our DVD collection the moment it comes out.  It will be one that I don’t have the kiddos watch though, so watch that rating.  There is obviously crime fighting, violence, and folks do get hurt…I don’t think that’s a spoiler alert for you though 😉

CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER releases in theaters everywhere on April 4th!

Here is some info on the movie, just in case you aren’t familiar:

After the cataclysmic events in New York with The Avengers, Marvel’s “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” finds Steve Rogers, aka Captain America, living quietly in Washington, D.C. and trying to adjust to the modern world. But when a S.H.I.E.L.D. colleague comes under attack, Steve becomes embroiled in a web of intrigue that threatens to put the world at risk. Joining forces with Natasha Romanoff aka Black Widow, Captain America struggles to expose the ever-widening conspiracy while fighting off assailants sent to silence him at every turn. When the full scope of the villainous plot is revealed, Captain America and the Black Widow enlist the help of a new ally, the Falcon. However, they soon find themselves up against an unexpected and formidable enemy—the Winter Soldier.

I was also excited because we had a Captain America look-a-like in the movies with us that night too, so make sure to keep a look out in the audience when you go.  Captain America is definitely the guy that men and women both love 😉

Based on the ever-popular Marvel comic book series, first published in 1941, Marvel’s “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” is produced by Kevin Feige, p.g.a., directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, from a screenplay by Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely, and stars Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Cobie Smulders, Frank Grillo, Emily VanCamp and Hayley Atwell, with Robert Redford as Alexander Pierce and Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury.

In short – if you like Captain America, action, and a group of very talented actors and actresses, this is one that you will definitely not want to miss.
